Built around a climbing toddler
Every opening in the flat closed to the same child-safe standard — balcony, windows and stairwell together.
Who it is for
Most people call us the week a toddler learns to climb. Child safety invisible grills treat the whole flat as one job: the balcony, the windows a bed or sofa sits under, and the stairwell void — all closed to the same standard, so there is no opening left that is "probably fine".
Cables at 2 inches are set specifically so a small child cannot squeeze between them.
There are no horizontal members, which is exactly what makes a conventional railing climbable.
No latch, no shutter and nothing to forget to close on the way out of the room.
Balcony, windows and stair void are measured together so no opening is left out.
Our workmanship promise. A child-safety job is judged on the opening you did not do. We walk the whole flat at the measurement visit, list every opening a child could reach, and quote them together so nothing is left for later.
See it in place
Child safety invisible grills protect children on upper floors without turning the flat into a cage. We fit them in high-rise homes in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, and across Guntur, Rajahmundry and Amaravathi.
Two details decide whether a child-safety grill is real protection: how wide the gap is, and what the anchors go into. A wider spacing saves cable and looks the same on day one. Anchors set in plaster hold until somebody leans hard. Both are invisible from the floor, which is why we write the grade, the spacing and the fixing into the quote before any work begins.
Child safety invisible grills are ordinary invisible grills specified with children in mind: vertical cables only, so there is nothing to climb; a 2-inch gap, too narrow for a small child to pass; and anchors into structure so the system takes a child's full weight pushing against it. The same cable protects pets and gives elderly parents something solid near the rail.
Where it goes
We use marine-grade 316 stainless-steel wire rope, 2 mm or 2.5 mm, with a clear nylon coating over the strands so there is nothing rough at a child's hand height. Cables are set 2 inches apart in anodised aluminium tracks at the head and foot of each opening, anchored with stainless-steel fixings into the RCC slab or beam — never into plaster alone. Each cable is tensioned individually and can be re-tensioned as the system settles.
How it works
Tell us the city and what you want covered. A photo of the balcony on WhatsApp helps us understand the job before anyone visits.
We visit, measure every opening, check what the anchors will go into, and give you a detailed quote that names the material.
Our fitters work opening by opening — tracks into the slab, cables tensioned, spacing checked by hand along the full width — and walk the finished flat with you before leaving.
A WhatsApp photo is often enough for us to tell you what suits it.
Questions
We fit at a 2-inch gap, which is set so a small child cannot pass between the cables. You can check it yourself on the finished job — and the spacing is written into your quote before we start.
There is nothing to climb. The cables run vertically with no horizontal members, unlike a conventional railing where the horizontals act as steps.
Yes. Each cable is tensioned and the tracks are anchored into the slab or beam, so the load goes into the structure rather than into the plaster.
On a very wide opening a knotless balcony safety net can cost less and covers the full height too. We quote both on the same visit so you can compare.
