A balcony invisible grill is a set of vertical stainless-steel cables running from a track fixed under the balcony soffit to a track at the floor or the top of the parapet. Each cable is tensioned on its own and the gap between them is 2 inches, narrow enough to stop a small child passing through. Because nothing crosses the opening horizontally, the balcony keeps its light, its breeze and its outlook.

Materials and fixing
We use marine-grade 316 stainless-steel wire rope, 2 mm or 2.5 mm depending on the span, with a clear nylon coating over the strands. Cables are set 2 inches apart in anodised aluminium tracks fixed at the top and bottom of the balcony opening, and the tracks are held by stainless-steel anchors drilled into the RCC slab or beam — never into plaster alone. Every cable is tensioned individually and can be re-tensioned on a later service visit.

Will a balcony invisible grill block my sea or river view?
Barely. The cables are 2 mm to 2.5 mm thick with nothing crossing them horizontally, so from a few steps inside the room you see the view, not the grill. Up close you can see the cables, which is what tells you the balcony is safe.
Can it be fitted on a balcony with a glass railing?
Yes. The cables are anchored into the slab above and the floor or parapet below, so the glass is never drilled. The grill covers the full height above the railing, which is the part a child can climb to.
How is a balcony grill priced?
By the square foot of the opening, with the rate depending on cable thickness and the fixing conditions. We measure the balcony on site and give you a detailed quote before any work starts.
Do you fit balcony grills in apartment towers with association rules?
